Hastings Little League scored 4 points in the first and 4 others in the fourth on pace to a 11-3 victory in its first game of the tournament.

BC’s starting pitcher, Ryan Matsuda was awesome in 5 innings and 2 thirds with 9 strikeouts. At bat, Matsuda homered twice finishing the contest with 4 for 4 and 3 RBI’s.

As for the Ramblers, Ryan Lawless has been one of the best at bats’ with 3 hits and one RBI.

Hastings Little League (BC) will resume play Sunday August 9 at 1pm against LaSalle Turtle club (Ontario) and the Atlantic team will jump on to the field for a matchup against Valleyfield (Québec) at 4pm.

All games are presented at Michel Laplante’s field at Rotary Park, in Val-d’Or.
